37 Years Old

Today is my birthday.... and it tastes like crap! Nothing special about it.

Went out to see stores and eat and do some exercise but nothing special. Wanted to buy myself a gift but found nothing. I was looking for a Classic Transformer but all I found were Animated and Live (Movie) stuff. Should have known I was wasting my time searching for them at this stage of the game.

Decided to upload something [link] for the sake of updating. I wanted to upload something new but this past couple of days I was as uncreative and unmotivated as usual. Guess I am becoming a sour bitter old bastard.

Nothing more to report. I'm logging off to check the coffee maker and do some crap until its 5:00PM to then hit the road again to see what else I can do on this "special day".

Belated Happy Birthday! Its is pretty hard to look for such at these days other than Ebay(expensive though!). I'm not sure about Transformers but I see that the old GI Joe figures get a re-release and improved durability but the stand, spring-loaded launchers etc. are missing leaving their basic weapons which sucks.

Thanks for the comment and greetings. Don't worry about being late. I posted this journal pretty late on the day so and on a Saturday so it was bound to happen.

I am aware that in order to get the figures I need I have to use the internet and be willing and ready to be royally screwed with scalping# and shipping/other charges. I just wanted to hunt for toys the good old fashioned way but I was simply in too late for the hunting season. It was mostly an excuse to get out of the house.

I saw plenty of the GIJ figures while I was lurking the battlefields (checking the stores) but passed on them because I already had an objective in mind. May pick one next month just for the sake of having variety and before they are gone as well.

Accessory-like they're very lacking but I guess that's all they're willing to do.

PS:
Opinion on the linked deviation [link] ?

# I am aware that is not the correct terminology but I am too lazy to do a proper research and paying such prizes is like being scalped (and I am not growing my hair to have it cut like that! >_<;)

I see, are there still stores selling those toys in regular prices? Cause the stores that sell the old transformers, GI Joe etc. are being sold in (naturally) insane prices. I miss those kind of toys, but least some of the new ones are worth having.

There are no store selling old stuff at all (of course, that depends on your concept of "old"). I was refering to regular stores like Walmart or Toys R Us. I saw some Classics over one Walmart once many moons ago. It was foolish of me to think they would last this long. >_<

As for really old stuff, comic and collectors store may be the place but buying something from those places is like dreaming about staying a night on a 5 stars hotel with a minimum wage salary.

From the new movie none of the figures interest me at all. Sorry. Guess I developed acute apathy for that line.

I see, what about toy conventions there? do they still sell old figures?

I have no interest in purchasing any of the 2nd movie figures too. I'm more focused in purchasing japanese figures/kits like Figmas and Gundam model kits at the moment.

Perhaps they do. But I have been unable to attend any to find out. :(

I am shifting my gears into Gundam-like stuff as well. Actually anything similar to Gundam (and TF:G1), because I don't buy anything mecha just because its mecha.

I have always has demanding tastes on mecha, and those tastes has grew more demanding as I grow older.
